We wonder what would be the approximate magnetic field profile if we arrange 4 magnets as per the geometry below. We can guess that at the center of the quadrupole magnetic field will be canceled out by the two opposite magnet poles facing each other. However, at any off-centric point magnetic field will be finite and the magnitude |B| will increase as we reach near the magnets. We are interested to know this increasing behavior graphically if N50 grade neodymium permanent magnets are used to construct the quadrupole structure using a simulation. The yellow arrows show magnetization direction and the curved lines in magenta colour show magnetic field lines. The magnets are arranged in alternate polarity such that the north poles of the top and bottom magnets face each other. Similarly the south poles of the left and right magnets face each other
