N45SH Neodymium Magnets with Good Angle Errors
Permanent Magnets for Helical Undulators

Now I have to make three helical undulators for in USA in the course of 1.5 years. For me this contract is very important since has built large synchrotron radiation source and they need to have a lot of different undulators. In case of success I expect to get new contract for undulator manufacturing.
Please see a drawing which is in attachment and inform me about price and duration of magnet manufacturing.
Magnet parameters are as follows:
1. Type of magnet material: N45SH Neodymium Magnet
2. Dispersion of Magnetization value: +/-1%
3. Angle errors of magnetization: +/-1degree
4. Magnet Coating: Chemical oxidation Second batch of permanent magnets (I mean the testing batch of permanent magnet) fully satisfied this demand. I refuse Nickel coating because of this coating has different thickness and don't allow to have specified tolerance. Since magnets have little size the specified tolerance can easy reach by grinding.

We increased dimension. Changes of the new magnets will be insignificant. Earlier we had demand that coating of permanent magnet must made from tin or nickel. Now they agree with our request to use chemical oxidation. Neodymium magnetic parameters of magnets are below:

We have to make it clear that chemical oxidation is not a standard coating. It can be phosphated or epoxy coating. Could you please tell us what the chemical oxidation you mentioned refers to?

I send you in attachment the drawings of the magnets. In drawings the magnet thickness are defined with accuracy 40 microns (-0.02; -0.06). For me very important that the thickness of magnet will be within this tolerance otherwise the magnets don't place in slots. Since the slot was milled with accuracy (0; +0.05). As I wrote earlier to grind the magnet with 50 microns accuracy it's not complicated but to secure this tolerance when we have nickel or tin coating it's more complicated because of irregularity of these coating. When I wrote about chemical oxidation I mean phosphated coating. To my mind phosphated coating will be better. I will conclude order with you this week.
