NdFeB Permanent Magnets Bonding to Stainless Steel Baseplate
Look for Durable Coating of N52 NdFeB Magnets NdFeB Magnets</a>:
What kind of protective coatings can I get on the N52 permanent magnet disc from you? An epoxy...?
I would want something that is pretty durable.
What colors would be available (if any)?
Would it be possible to get them coated and leave the south side uncoated for bonding? (Just coat the north side and the edges). I don't care which side is uncoated if that matters. Or, would your coating all around the magnet impact the bonding of your magnet to another metal surface?
Neodymium Permanent Magnet Manufacturer China Rare Earth Magnet Limited:
We can provide various kinds of coating according to customers' requirement, including epoxy.
Color of coating are often silver (NiCuNi or Zinc) or black (epoxy).
Commonly, coating all around has little impact when bonding magnets to another metal surface.
However, may I know what you will use to bond magnets to another metal surface, Loctite glue or something else?
By the way, do they work in humid environment or some kind of extreme environment?
Environment also has great influence on choosing coating.
Working Environment of the NdFeB Magnets:
I use Loctite AA 331 magnet bonder with Loctite SF 7387 Activator
The environment is not harsh at all. They'll be used in the construction and homeowner industries.
I have had one in my pocket for over 7 years. I started with a zinc coated one, and the zinc wore off over time.
The non-protected magnet I carried in my pocket wore and chipped the edges. I tried a ceramic coating on them, but it was too hard and not durable.
When I switch to your epoxy coated magnets, they will be bonded to a stainless steel baseplate. No further coatings on them.
NdFeB Permanent Magnets Manufacturer China Rare Earth Magnet Limited:
I got reply from our technicians and they confirm that black epoxy coating is very durable and has very strong resistance to corrosion.
Black epoxy will not have influence when you glue the magnets on stainless steel.
In addition, we can offer you free samples.
