Neodymium bar magnets are often used in magnetic rod/bar and magnetic filter . The length of magnetic rod is as long as 500mm or even longer. A single magnet cannot be made such long. A number of neodymium rod magnets are placed inside of the steel housing to achieve the effect of increasing the magnetism of the cylinder surface of the magnetic rod.
