Application of Permanent Magnets in Air Conditioning Compressor
The compressor of variable frequency air conditioning is an important application field of the permanent magnet material. The current air-conditioning compressor uses magnets that are divided into ferrite magnets and high-performance neodymium magnets. The magnetic performance of ferrite material is low, which will demagnetize in minus 7 degrees or minus 8 degrees environment. Ferrite magnets are more used for the production of low-end variable frequency air conditioning, while high-performance neodymium magnets are mainly used in the production of high-end variable frequency air conditioning. Under the trend of industrial policy support for energy conservation and environmental protection and technology upgrading, the application of ferrite permanent magnet material in variable frequency air conditioning will be gradually replaced by high-performance neodymium permanent magnet material.
The magnet for variable frequency compressors should have excellent magnetic properties, low temperature coefficient, low high temperature irreversible demagnetization, and strong corrosion resistance in high temperature, Freon and frozen oil environments. Generally we can choose N42SH, N38UH, N38EH and other high-performance neodymium permanent magnet.
