For neodymium magnets D20x1mm, clients require minimum holding force 3kg, but it can’t reach even in top grade N52 NdFeB magnetic materials. If possible, we usually suggest our clients consider increasing the size to enlarge the holding strength. Or else, you can use a metal cup magnet to replace an individual magnet.
The estimated holding force of a N52 magnet D20x1mm is around 1.5KGS.
For thicker magnets in size D20x2mm, the holding force may achieve 3KGS.
The actual holding force should be tested by the users.
We usually suggest clients order samples in different sizes and make a testing at their side.
