3. Hydrogen Explosion
As the hydrogen absorption character among rare earths, the neodymium alloy will expand and crack in hydrogen, which makes neodymium have a loose structure. The process not only improves powdering efficiency, but also lowering cost greatly.

4. Powdering Process
Without any pollution and any abrasion to the machine, powdering process is to make high velocity impact for the materials themselves by Airflow Grinder, which is efficient and convenient.

5. Molding and Orientation
Molding is to make the powder a fixed size and shape, and orientation is to determine a magnetized direction for the disorder powders. Commonly, the magnetic field pressing machine and isostatic pressing machine and used in this process, while for the special shaped NdFeB permanent magnets, it is necessary to use mold to shaping directly.

6. Sintering
Having a series of physical and chemical changes of the materials in high temperature, sintering is the last step of forming process, which is vital to the density and micro-structure of neodymium magnets.

7. Machining
The neodymium magnets after sintering are just workblank, and the further machining is necessary to achieve an accurate dimensions and shape. Generally, there are two ways of machining: Grinding and Cutting.

8. Surface Treatment
Surface treatment like Ni, Zn, NiCuNi, phosphate and so on, are necessary to achieve a good appearance and corrosion resistance.

Before packaging, the permanent magnet manufacturer should do a series of inspection, such as high temperature test, salt spray test, etc. to ensure the magnets meet requirements.
