Please see the attached drawing for a new circular magnet. The application does not require a powerful magnet so a ferrite magnetic material is ok. Please make it at least 8 poles, magnetized through radial and align the magnets per the drawing. The stubby rear motor shaft shown in the second drawing is where the magnet will be mounted to turn on and off a magnetic sensor.
If you already have a similar permanent magnet design please let me know.
