Large Rare Earth Permanent Magnets
Neodymium Magnets N38 D230x30mm, N52 80x50x30mm, N38 200x30x30mm, N52 50x50x50mm, N52 2"x2"x2"

I am the Product Development Manager and I am looking to source some large neodymium rare earth magnets . In the past you may have dealt with my colleague. I have a few questions:
1. What is the largest rectangular neodymium permanent magnet that you can produce (length x height x thickness) and at what grade?
2. In the past we have used 230mm OD x 30mm thick, cylindrical, axially magnetized N38 grade magnets. Can you produce larger magnet or at a higher grade?
3. What is the largest rectangular magnet (length x height x thickness) that you can produce in N52 permanent magnetic material?
4. Can you arrange air freight if required?
5. How long is the production time?

1. N52 Grade, 80x50x30mm (magnetization across 30mm)
2. D230x30mm (N38 / magnetization across 30mm) is already the largest one we can make.
3. 80x50x30mm (magnetization across 30mm)
4. Yes, we can arrange air freight if required. But the gross weight will be very heavy because too many iron sheets will be used in the packaging to isolate the magnetism of such large and strong magnets.
5. It is around 24~28 working days from receipt of payment.

Thanks for the reply. I am in the process of designing a large permanent magnet assembly . If the D230 x 30 mm magnet were made as a 30mm thick rectangular element in N38 what would be the largest side length? Would 200 x 200mm x 30mm in N38 be possible?

The magnets D230x30mm are made from a cylinder shaped blank. 200x200x30mm is too wide to be produced. In N38 grade material, the largest rectangular magnet we can make is 200x30x30mm.

What is the highest grade that could be made for a 50x50x50mm magnet? Would it be possible for you to assemble them into longer lengths (up to 200mm along the direction of magnetization)?
Finally do you have any BH curves for your grades N33 to N52 ? We do our own modeling in house before purchase - and accurate data is important.

We manufactured permanent magnets 2"x2"x2" in N50M material for other customers. The highest grade we can make for 50x50x50mm is N52 magnet. Regarding your question, we haven't assembled such magnets before. It can only be confirmed after sampling. Attached please find the BH curves of some grades.
