Magnetic Pole Detector-Identifier CY-PD288
How to distinguish N, S pole or magnetization direction of permanent magnet?
Grade: CY-PD288 (Updated Product of Magnetic Pole Detector-Identifier CY-PD248)
Technical Data:
Size: About 120x20x19mm
Sensitive area 6 x3mm
Display: 2 LED
Red=N pole
Green=S pole
Sensitivity: ±9mT
Battery: 1 piece, 1.5 V AAA, LR07 (continuous use time > 10 hours)
Operating Temperature: -20°C ~ +85°C
Storage Temperature: -40°C ~ +150°C
Appearance of Magnetic Pole Detector:
Detection-Identification of Magnetic Poles:
Holding the oval button, place the tip of the magnetic pole detector to the measurement surface of permanent magnets like neodymium magnets (i.e. NdFeB magnets), samarium cobalt magnets (i.e. SmCo magnets), alnico magnets, ferrite magnets (i.e. ceramic magnets). If the measurement surface is N pole, red LED will shine, if it is S pole, green LED will shine. Holding the oval button and move the tip of magnetic pole detector around the surface of magnet, it will show the change of one pole to another.
Applications of Magnetic Pole Identifier:
Polarity Determination and Identification of Permanent Magnet and Electro-magnet
Magnetic Polarity Measurement
Coil Measurement
Auxiliary function:
Motor Assembly
Magnetic Clamping Device Assembly
Error Analysis & Multi-poles Quality Control for Magnetic Assembly
How to identify polarization direction?
You can use magnetic pole detector to identify the polarization direction of the magnets. The second way to identify the magnetization direction is to use green magnetic viewer.
The third way is using Gauss Meter
