One question:
With regard to the inside dimension, would it be possible to make it so the inner hole is a cone that is 1mm at one end and 2.5mm on the other side instead of having a ledge in the center?

Sorry to say, the internal d2.5/d1mm cone shaped hole is too small too make.
We can only make the inner hole like step-shaped.
