The waterproof magnetic buttons were universally applied in garments and bags. The neodymium permanent magnet is encased by an iron cover on one side and sealed inside a small PVC bag. Please could you let us know the application of your magnets? How about the size of disc magnets? Perhaps we can provide better advice for your design/ solution.
Looking for Neodymium Magnets with PVC Bag:
We produce several magnetic products for use in aquariums. All use NdFeB magnets . The magnets are submerged in water, usually saltwater. We want to eliminate the possibility of exposure to the water. Sealing the magnet in a small PVC bag is a good solution.
The product we make that uses a D1/2" x 1/8" permanent magnet has the magnet inserted inside a through-hole in the middle of a die-cut EVA foam square, 1" x 1" and "sealed" inside by die-cut plastic labels with pressure sensitive adhesive.
If you could produce the part in a 1" x 1" sealed PVC square, we might be able to eliminate the EVA foam square and have a sealed secure magnet. Or, if the magnet could be sealed inside PVC in a small diameter circular shape, the sealed magnet could be inserted (by us) into a though-hole in a square EVA part and the part can be constructed the way we construct them now.
It would be good to have a quote for the sealed magnets just to confirm that it is economically feasible. I'm pricing neodymium magnets. If you have a representative that can contact me I can supply a drawing/ spec sheet, thank you. I'm in Canada. I pay visa or cash.
