Generally speaking, with positive chemical activity of the raw materials, the wet-pressing products have higher and more stable magnetic properties, and it is also easier to determine magnetized orientation during pressing process. Nevertheless, the rejection rate of roughcast products is high too as it is hard to control dehydration. And some complicated shape even can’t be manufactured by wet-pressing method. In addition, the molding process of wet-pressing is sophisticated, therefore, the molding speed is slow with 1 to 2 times per minutes, but the speed of dry-pressing is 15 to 20 times per minutes. On contrast, the dry-pressing methods mainly use oxide with somewhat lower chemical activity as raw materials, so it can’t achieve complete chemical reactions generally. And as there are no flow media during dry-pressing, it is hard to reach high orientation degree. But as there is no need to dehydration in dry-pressing, the molding equipment of it is consequently simple, which is easy to achieve automation. Furthermore, the finished surface of dry-pressed product is smooth and flat without the need of trimming, thus reducing workload of grinding greatly.
