Ferrite magnets are permanent magnets mainly made of raw material SrO or BaO and Fe2O. Compared with other rare earth magnets, Ferrite magnets are hard and brittle; they have lower magnetic energy and require special machining processes. But Ferrite magnets are not easily to demagnetize and corrode. Their price is low, and their production processes are really simple. Therefore, Ferrite magnets have the highest yield in the whole permanent magnets industry and are widely used in industrial production.
Ferrite magnets can be divided into anisotropy magnets and isotropy magnets. Anisotropy magnets have stronger magnetic property, but they can only be magnetized trough predetermined magnetization direction of magnets. On the contrary, isotropy magnets don’t have the specified magnetization direction, so that they can be magnetized through any direction. But isotropy magnet will have a weaker magnetic property than anisotropy magnets. Stronger magnetic induction is usually found on the smallest side of the pressure surface of isotropy magnets. The BH range of ferrite magnets is from 1.1MGOe to 4.0MGOe. Due to its low cost, ferrite magnets have a wide range of application from motors, speakers to toys, crafts and so on.
Producing trough powder metallurgy, ferrite permanent magnet has lower remanence, less permeability, bigger coercive force and stronger demagnetization resistance ability. Ferrite magnets are especially suitable for being used as magnetic circuit structure in dynamic working conditions. Ferrite magnets are hard and brittle, so that can be used in emery tool for cutting. The working temperature is -40℃to 200℃.
China Rare Earth Magnet Limited is specialized in producing all kinds customized ferrite magnets, such disc magnets, ring magnets, block magnets, arc magnets and many other types according to our customers’ requirement.
