Dry permanent magnetic separators include belt type and cylinder type in general.
The characteristics of belt type PM separator are automatic iron unloading, constant magnetic field, no changes in cold state or hot state, less failure, and widespread application in bandwidth within 1200mm. But due to the current immature magnetic shielding technology, there are certain troubles of the transportation, installation, operation, and maintenance of it. For example, if a chunk of iron is attracted to the magnetic box, it may not be thrown off, so the belt would be clamped and the motor burned; and the trunk is at the same time difficult to be removed and likely to cause damage to the magnetic block. As a result, the belt type magnetic separator subjects to certain restrictions on its application. It is mainly composed of a multi pole fixed magnetic system and a cylinder made of non magnetic conducting material. The wrap angle of the fixed magnetic system is 180 degrees or 360 degrees, and the cylinder rotates around the magnetic system or the whole magnetic drum, which can replace the driving wheel of belt type permanent magnet separator. It can be used as conveyor belt and separator for iron sands recycling in the steel mill.
Wet permanent magnetic separator consists of six main parts: a cylinder, a roller, a brush roller, magnetic system, the tank body and the driving and it has the following characteristics:
1, the tank: uniflow tank is suitable for iron sand with particle size in the range of 6 ~ 0mm and the fine selection of rough selection.
2, a cylinder can be equipped with three types of tank, in order to adapt to the different sorting process.
3, to improve the concentrate grade, uniflow tank and semi counterflow tank can be used in series.
4, semi countercurrent tank is suitable for wet fine selection and rough selection of strong magnetic ore with particle size of 0.5-0mm, especially suitable for large size ore with particle size of 0.15 ~ 0mm.
5, counterflow is suitable for rough selection and sweep of strong magnetic ore with particle size of 0.6 ~ mm, especially suitable for the recycling of heavy medium coal of washing plant.
6, magnetic system is composed of high quality ferrite magnets material or rare earth neodymium magnets .
The tube average magnetic induction of drum surface is 100~600mT. According to users’ needs, we can provide special designed magnetic separator for iron ore, tailings magnetic separator, dry permanent magnet separation machine, high strength magnetic separator and other different forms of strong magnetic separation machine.
