In general, as the limitation of the dimensions and high cost of molds, the manufacturer always not produce radially magnetized ring permanent magnets directly. Instead, they often use fan-shaped arcs to splice together to achieve the same function. During the process of manufacturing, transporting and assembling, the magnetic rings may fall apart, so the manufacturer can install non-magnetic rings, such as aluminium or stainless steel, to fix the fan shape blocks. And these non-magnetic rings can be removed before assembly.

I would like to have a quotation for the permanent magnet ring. The material would be N50M neodymium magnet. We have 2 rings dimensions. Some of the magnets will be axially magnetized and the others will be radially magnetized, to the outside and to the inside. We would like to have at least 16 fan-shape blocks assembled glued together for each rings (especially for radially magnetized magnets)

Could you please confirm can we use steel/iron ring to fix the fan shape blocks so they won't easily fall apart?
Permanent Magnetic Assembly with Glue + non-magnetic external ring like aluminium or stainless steel:
The magnet rings will be assembled together so we cannot have an external ring. At the end they will be inside an iron ring so I think they will not have any risk to fall apart. They only risk they fall apart is during the manufacturing, transport and assembly. If you want, you can install non-magnetic rings (aluminium or stainless steel, etc.) that we can remove just before the assembly.

Based on our experience, our technician team all agree with you that there will be big risk that the assembled/glued rings will easily fall apart. Is it acceptable that we supply you with arc segments and you can assemble them into the rings you need after receiving them?
I attached the quotation based on arc segments.

I am sorry we will not be able to position and glue ourselves the arc segments. Would you be able to provide the assembled rings?

Please check the attached quotation based on assembled rings, all assembled with 16 arc permanent magnet segments as requested. We will glue the rings and use metal rings to fix them. The metal rings will be removable.
