It is well known that magnetic rods mainly plays a filtering role, but today we introduce you not its purpose, nor how it works, but about the assembly materials it uses, including internal and external materials.
The magnetic rods have magnetic force difference, mainly because of its internal use of different magnetic materials. In general, we should choose the permanent magnet, why? Let's explain it briefly.
The image on above shows the structure of magnetic rods. Most of the rod magnetic assembly used in the industry are made of permanent magnets, with surfaces wrapped in stainless steel tubes and welded seals at both ends. Using its magnetic force to sort small iron impurities from the material, it can improve the purity of the material and protect the lower-flowing equipment.
What are the types of permanent magnets commonly used in magnetic rods?
Commonly the materials are mainly used neodymium magnets, ferrite, SmCo, of which neodymium NdFeB is used the most, because of cost-effective, strong magnetic force. When customers require about 10000 Gauss or more, neodymium magnetic assembly will be their best choice.
As for the service life of magnetic rods, it depends on how to use them. The magnetic rods can generally work under heavy load one and half years or so and around 8 years under light load work.
Above is the introduction of the material used in magnetic rods, I hope it can help you. If you have any other question about permanent magnetic assembly, please feel free to contact us.
